Following a strong qualifying campaign, Will Antwi’s England U19s are gearing up for the UEFA U19 European Championship this June. The Young Lions will head to Romania, where they’ll face Norway, Germany and the Netherlands in the group stage. Only the top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, with the group winners meeting the runners-up from the opposite pool. Liam Bramley’s England Under-18s are set to round off their 2024-25 campaign with a double-header of friendly fixtures against Morocco. The Young Lions will travel to Salé to take on their North African hosts at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, one of the most advanced youth development centres on the continent. This international window will mark the final outing at U18 level for this group, who are due to progress to the U19s set-up next season. England U17, managed by Neil Ryan, are preparing to take part in this year’s UEFA European Under-17 Championship, which will take place in Albania from 19 May to 1 June. Drawn in a competitive group alongside Belgium, Italy and the Czech Republic, the Young Lions will kick off their campaign on 20 May. England’s U15s, led by head coach Tom Curtis, are set to take part in an international tournament this May – a first taste of competitive international football for many of the young Lions. At 3pm this Monday, 22 young players will take to the hallowed turf of Villa Park for the FA Youth Cup final : the most prestigious competition in English youth football, open to under-18 teams affiliated with the FA. This year’s showdown sees Aston Villa’s academy side take on Manchester City’s rising stars, with both clubs chasing a fifth title in the tournament’s history.
