England U20 Starting XI to Face Germany

By Arthur Le Neel October 3, 2026 2 minutes read

England U20 is set to play their third and final fixture of this international window in the U20 Euro Elite League, with Germany providing the opposition this Saturday, 3 October at 4.30pm at the Estadi Olímpic Camilo Cano on the Costa Blanca. The Young Lions have made a perfect start with two wins from two, beating Italy 3-1 before following that up with a 2-1 victory over France. Now sitting top of the table on six points, Darren Moore’s side will look to round off their run of fixtures in Spain with another victory against Germany.

Darren Moore still has a squad packed with quality at his disposal for this final fixture, with several players having impressed across the opening two games. Jesse Derry, Mikey Moore and Shea Lacey all found the net in the victory over Italy, before Shumaira Mheuka and Mikey Moore gave England an early lead against France. Trey Nyoni also played a key role in midfield, notably providing the assist for Moore, while Oliver Whatmuff made several important saves in goal. With six points on the board and top spot secured, the Young Lions will now look to extend their winning run against Germany and finish the international window on a high.

Founder and editor of Britannia Sport, I have, since 2023, chronicled the unfolding story of British sport, with a particular eye for emerging talent and the fortunes of our national teams. With a deep‑rooted passion for football, athletics, rugby and swimming, my understanding of sport has been shaped by the great international competitions, where national achievements take precedence over individual glory. A keen admirer of statistics, I take pleasure in casting light on athletes and disciplines too often overlooked, while offering a broad and exacting coverage of British sport in all its richness.
