The draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup, the oldest and most prestigious national football competition in the world, took place this Monday following the clash between Doncaster Rovers and Crystal Palace. Hosted by former Arsenal and England internationals Theo Walcott and Alex Scott, the fixtures for the next round are now set.

All-Premier League Matchups on the Horizon
Last night, the final match of the fourth round saw Exeter City take on Nottingham Forest, and the outcome followed expectations as the Reds emerged victorious on penalties after a 2-2 draw. As a result, half of the eight ties drawn will feature all-Premier League matchups, while lower-league sides will be hoping to keep their cup dreams alive just as Plymouth did by eliminating Liverpool. Among the top teams still in contention, only Aston Villa and Manchester City have been handed supposedly favourable draws, facing Cardiff City and Plymouth Argyle, respectively. However, Pep Guardiola’s men would be wise not to underestimate their opponents.
