This Saturday at 11:00 AM, England U19 will continue their Euro U19 qualifying campaign in Deeside, one of the northernmost venues in Wales, who host every game. If they secure qualification, the Young Lions will compete in the final tournament from June 13 to 26, 2025. Facing a talented Turkish squad, England are the favorites to claim a second consecutive victory, but they cannot afford to slip up if they want to strengthen their chances of reaching the tournament. This will also set them up in the best possible position ahead of their final group match against Portugal on March 25, a game that, if everything goes to plan, should determine which team qualifies for the U19 Euros. However, Portugal, led by Emilio Peixe, currently sit on just one point after drawing against Turkey.

England’s lineup for today’s match :
It’s an exceptionally promising 21-man squad that Will Antwi called up less than a week ago. Several players have already logged significant minutes at senior level this season, including: Tyler Dibling (Right Winger – Southampton), Mikey Moore (Left Winger – Tottenham Hotspur), Chris Rigg (Central Midfielder – Sunderland, where he is already a regular starter) A special mention goes to 17-year-old Stephen Mfuni, the Manchester City centre-back, who will be starting today and is the only 2008 born player in the squad.
In their opening game against Wales, England secured a 2-0 victory, thanks to goals from Ethan Wheatley and his substitute Shumaira Mheuka. The scoreline could have been even more emphatic if not for an outstanding performance from Welsh goalkeeper Lewys Benjamin, who made several key saves.
