This afternoon at 6pm, England’s Under-19s, led by head coach Will Antwi, will continuetheir Euro U19 campaign against Germany. Having last lifted the trophy in 2022 with a golden generation that has since progressed to the U21s and even the senior squad, expectations are naturally high. The Young Lions will be aiming to reclaim the title that Spain secured last year.

England came into the tournament unbeaten in 2025, having sailed through the qualifying round with impressive wins over Wales (2-0) and Portugal (1-0), along with a goalless draw against Turkey. Their opening group stage fixture saw them held to a 2-2 draw by Norway. Should they pick up three points in their next outing, top spot in the group could be up for grabs in the final match against the Netherlands — the current group leaders and England’s opponents on the last day of the group stage.
To meet that challenge, Will Antwi has assembled a 21-man squad blending defensive solidity, midfield creativity and attacking threat. In midfield, Chris Rigg, a regular starter for Sunderland in the Championship, and Lewis Miley, who featured prominently for Newcastle before suffering a serious injury, will be key figures. Up front, Mikey Moore and Samuel Amo-Ameyaw bring pace and flair — both ended the season strongly with Strasbourg and have already made appearances in Ligue 1, the Premier League and European competition, where Moore even found himself on the scoresheet.
