England’s under-18s continue their UEFA Friendship Cup campaign with their second fixture against Egypt, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm this Sunday, 27 September, in Switzerland. Will Antwi’s Young Lions made a winning start to the tournament with a 3-2 victory over Colombia, thanks in part to a brace from Jashayde Greenwood and a goal from Michael Mills. They will now look to build on that result against Egypt in their second game in the space of a few days.

Will Antwi has a 22-man squad at his disposal for the Friendship Cup and will now have to manage his players’ minutes after an intense opening fixture. Roman Dowell impressed in goal against Colombia, making several important saves, while Jashayde Greenwood got his tournament off to an ideal start with two goals. Michael Mills also found the net in the opening game, while Tyrese Noubissie and Erik Farkas provided quality in midfield. With one win already under their belt, the Young Lions will look to maintain their momentum against Egypt and take another step towards securing a strong position in the standings ahead of their third fixture against Korea Republic.
