England U19 begin their latest international window with an opening fixture against the Republic of Ireland, with kick-off scheduled for 7pm this Friday, 25 September, at St George’s Park. Managed by Ben Futcher, the Young Lions will play four matches during the camp as they prepare for their U19 EURO qualifiers later this year, with Norway, USA and Belgium to follow in Spain.
A squad packed with attacking talent
Ben Futcher has a 24-man squad at his disposal, with several exciting attacking players among the group. Max Dowman and Reigan Heskey are two of the main threats in the final third, while Chizaram Ezenwata, Ryan Mcaidoo and Harry Howell provide further options in attack. In midfield, Louis Page, Harrison Miles and Reggie Walsh offer a range of options, while the defence includes the likes of Kaden Braithwaite, Malachi Hardy, Dante Headley and Wesley Okoduwa. With four fixtures scheduled during the international window, the clash with the Republic of Ireland will give Futcher an early opportunity to assess his squad ahead of the upcoming European Championship qualifiers.
