England U20 Squad named for the November 2026 International Break

By Arthur Le Neel November 6, 2026 5 minutes read

England U20, managed by Darren Moore, will return to action during the November 2026 international break. Following a highly successful first camp in September and October, the Young Lions will continue their Euro Elite League campaign with two more fixtures against the Czech Republic and Portugal. For the first time this season, England will play on home soil, with their opening fixture scheduled for Thursday, 12 November at 7.30pm against the Czech Republic at Mansfield’s One Call Stadium. They will then travel to Portugal to face the hosts on Monday, 16 November at 4pm at the Estádio Municipal de Mafra.

Young Lions full of confidence after successful first camp

Darren Moore’s side head into their second international break of the season full of confidence. During their previous camp, held in Spain at the end of September and beginning of October, England made a perfect start to their Euro Elite League campaign by winning all three of their fixtures.

The Young Lions first came from behind to beat Italy 3-1 on 25 September. After falling behind to an own goal from Airidas Golambeckis in the 66th minute, England turned the game around through Jesse Derry (37′), Mikey Moore (52′) and Shea Lacey (82′). Four days later, they followed that up with a 2-1 victory over France, with Shumaira Mheuka (9′) and Mikey Moore (14′) finding the net in quick succession. England then rounded off their stay in Spain with a third consecutive win against Germany (2-1). Shumaira Mheuka opened the scoring in the 38th minute before Kian Noble doubled the advantage shortly after the restart (48′).

With three wins from three and their attacking players in fine form, England have made an ideal start to their campaign and will be looking to maintain that momentum against two new opponents.

Several promotions to the U21s and four new faces

Darren Moore has named a 22-man squad for the November camp. The squad retains much of the core group from the previous camp, despite several changes between England’s youth age groups. Three key players from the previous squad have been promoted to the U21s following their performances this season: Trey Nyoni (Liverpool), Harrison Armstrong (Everton) and Divine Mukasa (West Ham United, on loan from Manchester City). They will therefore no longer be available to Darren Moore, but can now continue their development at the next level. Another notable case is Max Dowman (Arsenal). Having been called up to the U19s during the previous international break, the youngster has now moved directly into the U21 setup without spending time with the U20s.

Those departures have made room for four new faces in the squad. Chelsea defender Olutayo Subuloye makes his first appearance after previously being called up by the U18s in 2024. Winger Benjamin Broggio, currently on loan at Stevenage from Aston Villa, also returns to the England setup after his first experience with the U18s in 2024. Sean Neave has also received his first U20 call-up. The Wolverhampton Wanderers forward, who is on loan from Newcastle United, had already been selected for the U19s earlier this year but had yet to represent England at U20 level.

Finally, the inclusion of Brian Madjo is arguably the most unusual addition to the squad. Born in Luxembourg, the Aston Villa forward was called up to the Luxembourg senior side in 2025 for a series of friendly matches. He subsequently joined England’s U17s that same year. As his appearances in the Luxembourg friendlies did not constitute official competitive caps, he remained eligible to represent England. He therefore makes the jump straight into the U20 squad, having not featured for England at U18 or U19 level.

For the remainder of the squad, Darren Moore has retained much of the group selected for the previous camp. The main additional absentee is Ezra Mayers, who has not been included among the players promoted to the U21s either. The Young Lions can nevertheless count on several players who are already making an impact at senior level, including Harry Amass, Ayden Heaven, Christopher Rigg, Shea Lacey, Mikey Moore and Shumaira Mheuka.
