Over the past few years, women’s boxing has seen a remarkable surge in popularity, with a wave of emerging talents shaking up the rankings and redefining the sport’s standards. Among them is Sacha Hickey, an exceptionally gifted British boxer who is rapidly making a name for herself. Most recently, she turned heads again at the 2025 Strandja Tournament, notching up high-profile wins over top-ranked opponents, including Angela Carini, who is currently ranked world No. 2 by BoxRec.
And just last week, she added another accolade to her growing collection with a win at the World Boxing tournament in Foz do Iguaçu.
With a record of 33 fights, 32 wins and 6 KOs, Hickey is now widely regarded as Britain’s leading talent in the super-lightweight division.

Team GB has a strong tradition in international boxing, and Hickey appears to have all the attributes needed to succeed at the highest level.
