England U19, led by head coach Will Antwi, are heading to Spain for two friendly fixtures against Belgium and Wales. This October camp forms part of their preparations for the UEFA U19 EURO 2026 qualifiers, which kick off in November in Lithuania. The Young Lions will face Belgium first on Saturday 11 October at the Marbella Football Centre (10am local time), before taking on Wales at La Quinta Football Centre on Tuesday 14 October (11am local time).

Last month, Antwi’s side were also in Spain, where they recorded impressive wins over Ukraine and the Netherlands, alongside a thrilling 3-3 draw with hosts Spain. These results underline the strength of the squad and the rise of a highly promising generation.
A deep and extremely talented squad
Will Antwi has named a 23-man squad blending international experience with emerging English talent. Among the standout names are Chris Rigg, a midfield mainstay at Sunderland, and Mikey Moore, currently on loan at Rangers from Tottenham Hotspur, who continues to shine in the Scottish Premiership. Up front, Rio Ngumoha—already on the scoresheet for Liverpool’s senior side—and Jesse Derry (Chelsea) represent the new attacking wave, while Trey Nyoni, recently involved with the U20s, returns to bolster the midfield. The defence will be anchored by Stephen Mfuni and Harry Amass, both well-versed in high-level competition. This balanced and complete group reflects the exceptional depth England boasts at this age level. Notably, two players born in 2009—Max Dowman (Arsenal) and Jeremy Monga (Leicester City)—have earned their place in the squad at just 15 and 16 years old.
