England U15 have confirmed their squad for the February 2026 international window, which will see the Young Lions travel to Cyprus for two friendly fixtures against Cyprus and the United States. Under the guidance of Matt Thorpe, England continue to shape and develop this emerging generation, just a few weeks after the December training camp at St George’s Park, where they faced Iceland, Spain and Italy. England will take on Cyprus on Tuesday 10 February, before meeting the USA on Saturday 14 February.
Continuity built around the most precocious talents
As was the case during the winter camp, the squad is largely built around a core of extremely precocious players who are already well established within the England talent pool. Will Ferdinand Cvek (FC Barcelona) once again features among the standout names. The 14-year-old attacking midfielder, developed at La Masia after earlier spells in the academies of Real Madrid and PSV Eindhoven, continues his gradual integration into the England pathway.
Born in Melbourne and eligible for several national teams, Ferdinand Cvek has already represented Croatia at U14 level, giving his continued involvement with England clear strategic significance for the FA.
Another player now firmly embedded within this age group is Luis Munoz (Arsenal), who retains his place after making history earlier this season by becoming the youngest-ever player to appear in a UEFA Youth League match, aged just 13. Comfortable operating both in midfield and further forward, Munoz embodies the technical quality and tactical maturity associated with Hale End graduates, once again well represented at this level.
One of the standout storylines of this squad is the first England call-up for Iago Mendes da Silva (Chelsea), the son of former Brazil captain Thiago Silva. With 113 caps for the Seleção, the legendary centre-back has left a lasting mark on Brazilian football and on Chelsea, the club where both of his sons are now developing.
Although Brazilian by birth through both parents, Iago has lived in England for several years, making him eligible to represent the Three Lions under FIFA residency regulations. Having been based in the UK for over five years, the 14-year-old defender is regarded as a promising talent within Chelsea’s academy. His inclusion in the England U15 squad represents a symbolic first step in an international career that remains wide open, particularly as Thiago Silva has previously expressed his desire for his sons to build their careers in England.
