England U17 side continue their UEFA EURO 2026 qualifying Round 2 campaign with a second fixture against Israel, scheduled for today at 2pm. After a thoroughly convincing opening performance against the Faroe Islands (3-0 win), the Young Lions have the opportunity to take a significant step towards top spot in the group, which would secure promotion back to League A.

Buoyed by that impressive opening victory, Liam Bramley’s side heads into this fixture with a settled and clearly defined core. Ryan Kavuma-McQueen, who netted twice in the first match, has already established himself as the main attacking threat, while JJ Gabriel once again showcased his ability to create space and influence the game between the lines. In midfield, Karim Cassim and Max Little controlled the tempo effectively, underlining England’s technical superiority against an overmatched opponent.
Defensively solid and rarely troubled in their opening outing, England’s back line will nevertheless need to show greater alertness against an Israeli side expected to provide a sterner test. The goalkeeper and his defence will be keen to build on the clean sheet and overall assurance displayed in the first game.
With only the group winners earning promotion, this second fixture already carries significant weight in England’s campaign. Another victory would put the Young Lions firmly on course to achieve their objective ahead of a decisive final match.
