This Tuesday at 7:00 PM, on one of the many pitches at St. George’s Park, England’s U17 squad will wrap up their qualifying campaign for the U17 European Championship, set to take place from May 19 to June 1, 2025, should they secure their final qualification. Facing Northern Ireland in an all-British clash, the Young Lions will be favorites to secure a third consecutive victory and having already qualified for the tournament, they will try to finish the international break in a good way.

The 21-player squad selected by Neil Ryan just under a week ago includes several young talents who have already made first-team appearances this season, such as Jack Porter (Goalkeeper – Arsenal), Rio Ngumoha (Left Winger – Liverpool) or Kaden Branthwaite (Center-Back – Manchester City) The squad also features a 15-year-old attacking midfielder, Max Dowman (Arsenal), the youngest player in the squad, who will start this afternoon.
On the other side, Northern Ireland also has exciting prospects in their squad. Ceadach O’Neil, an attacking midfielder from Arsenal, will be their main offensive threat, forming a dangerous duo with Tottenham’s striker George Feeney, who could trouble England’s young defense.
