U19 EURO Qualifiers: England’s Starting XI vs Portugal

By Arthur Le Neel March 25, 2025 2 minutes read

This Tuesday at 8:00 PM, in Deeside, one of the northernmost venues in Wales, England’s U19 squad will conclude their qualifying campaign for the U19 European Championship, set to take place from June 13 to June 26, 2025, should they secure final qualification. Facing a talented Portugal side, the Young Lions must avoid defeat to guarantee their place in the tournament. As it stands, both nations sit on four points, but England holds the edge on goal difference (+2 vs. +1).

Author

Founder and editor of Britannia Sport, I have, since 2023, chronicled the unfolding story of British sport, with a particular eye for emerging talent and the fortunes of our national teams. With a deep‑rooted passion for football, athletics, rugby and swimming, my understanding of sport has been shaped by the great international competitions, where national achievements take precedence over individual glory. A keen admirer of statistics, I take pleasure in casting light on athletes and disciplines too often overlooked, while offering a broad and exacting coverage of British sport in all its richness.
