England U21 starting XI to face Kazakhstan

By Arthur Le Neel September 8, 2025 2 minutes read

At 4pm this Monday, at the Ortalıq Stadion in Kostanay, England U21s – crowned European champions this summer for the second tournament in a row – begin their new campaign with the opening qualifier for Euro 2027 against Kazakhstan.

England line-up against Kazakhstan :

With Euro 2027 firmly in sight, Lee Carsley has called up a refreshed 23-man squad. Around half of the group are survivors from this summer’s victorious side, while the rest have stepped up from the U20s. Among the standout names are Everton winger Tyler Dibling, a recent signing from Southampton, Arsenal playmaker Ethan Nwaneri, and Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong.

Two players in the squad are currently based abroad. Brooke Norton-Cuffy, now at Genoa, featured during the summer and came off the bench in the final, while Borussia Dortmund’s Jobe Bellingham will be eager to follow in his brother’s footsteps by breaking into the senior side sooner rather than later.

England’s starting XI to face Kazakhstan :

  • James Beadle (Birmingham City)
  • Josh Acheampong (Chelsea)
  • Brooke Norton Cuffy (Genoa)
  • Jack Hinshelwood (Brighton and Hove Albion)
  • Archie Gray (Tottenham Hotspur)
  • Jobe Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund)
  • Lewis Miley (Newcastle United)
  • Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal)
  • Tyler Dibling (Everton)
  • Jamie Gittens (Chelsea)
  • Divin Mubama (Stoke City)

Author

Founder and editor of Britannia Sport, I have, since 2023, chronicled the unfolding story of British sport, with a particular eye for emerging talent and the fortunes of our national teams. With a deep‑rooted passion for football, athletics, rugby and swimming, my understanding of sport has been shaped by the great international competitions, where national achievements take precedence over individual glory. A keen admirer of statistics, I take pleasure in casting light on athletes and disciplines too often overlooked, while offering a broad and exacting coverage of British sport in all its richness.
