England U19, led by head coach Will Antwi, have travelled to Lithuania for the first qualifying round of the 2026 UEFA European U19 Championship, which will take place in North Wales from 28 June to 11 July. All three fixtures are being held at the Raudondvaris Stadium, where the Young Lions opened their campaign in style with a 2–0 victory over Lithuania, thanks to a brace from Chelsea striker Shumaira Mheuka.
England will now face Latvia on 15 November before rounding off their group fixtures against Scotland on 18 November.

A deep and richly talented squad
Will Antwi has selected a strong 23-man squad that blends international experience with the excitement of emerging English talent. Among the standouts are Chris Rigg, a key midfield figure for Sunderland, and Mikey Moore, currently on loan at Rangers from Tottenham, who recently scored his first goal in Scotland.
In attack, Rio Ngumoha, the lively Liverpool forward, and Jesse Derry of Chelsea represent the new wave of English flair, while Trey Nyoni, who has already featured for the U20s, drops back down an age group to bolster the midfield.
At the back, Stephen Mfuni and Harry Amass will anchor the defence, both already well accustomed to top-level competition. It’s a balanced and complete group, reflecting once again the depth of England’s talent pool at youth level. Notably, the squad also features two 2009-born players — Max Dowman (Arsenal) and Jeremy Monga (Leicester City) — both aged just 15 and 16, continuing England’s trend of blooding precocious talent early.
