A few days after the conclusion of the 2025 British Indoor Championships, UK Athletics has officially announced the British squad for the upcoming European Indoor Championships, set to take place in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, from 6 to 9 March. The selection prioritises maximising medal prospects while also integrating emerging talents capable of securing top-eight finishes in their respective disciplines.

A Blend of Experience and Youth Aiming for Success in Apeldoorn
This selection represents a significant milestone for several young athletes, including Daniel Goriola, Ava Lloyd, Innes Fitzgerald, and Joy Eze, all of whom have earned their maiden senior call-ups following standout performances at the World Junior Championships. Efekemo Okoro, training partner of Brazilian world champion Alison dos Santos, secures an individual spot in the 400m. Alongside these rising stars, the squad also features seasoned competitors, including world and Olympic medallists, who bring a wealth of experience to the European stage. The championships will serve as a key stepping stone ahead of major upcoming events, notably the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing later in March, which will round off the indoor season.
